WHAT ARE SIPS?

SIPS stands for 'Structural Insulated Panel Systems'

Premier's SIPS panels consist of polystyrene foam in between two sheets of weather-treated OSB. A high-strength adhesive holds the layers together, distributing force across the entire surface of the panel. They are surprisingly lightweight, yet stronger than traditional building materials. The best on the market today, Premier's panels can form the walls, floors, and roof of buildings up to three stories.

Why Build With Us?

Off-Site Assembly, On-Site Efficiency

Comfort Casitas designs all our ADUs with SIPS in mind, working with Premier at every step for maximum cohesion. Once a design is set, your panels are built-to-order, and our experts verify every panel as they're delivered on site, shortening overall construction time and reducing job-site waste.

Custom Design, Prefabricated

Virtually anything done with traditional construction techniques can be built better with SIPS. In fact, we find that the strength of Premier's panels usually means more windows, wider spaces and higher ceilings are possible. They're also ideal for areas prone to hurricanes or earthquakes.

Seriously High-Performance Structures

What happens when your entire building is made of insulation? You tend to pay a lot less for energy, up to 60% in many cases. You're also generally more comfortable, since the airtight shell prevents drafts and inside temperatures fluctuate less throughout the day. Not only is the material itself insulating, but building with SIPs gives you a virtually-airtight building, keeping warm or cool air where it is supposed to be.
